    KETTLER, Washington’s leading full-service Property Management Company and recent winner of the NAHB Pillar of the Industry award for Property Management Company of the year, has opening at our corporate office in Mclean, VA for an Accounts Payable Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to join a locally owned and managed company with substantial potential for career growth.

    Responsibilities

    • Managing a portfolio of up to 22 properties and handle full cycle Accounts Payable to include processing weekly payments; monitoring & completing research on outstanding checklist; research and resolve owner and property issues; troubleshoot different file import errors in various systems; void & reissue replacement checks as needed; detailed report writing and maintain the weekly & monthly reports required and manage an organized filing system for the properties.
    • Ability to handle multiple accounting systems as well as multiple check runs per week. Will be involved in annual 1099 and 1096 filings as well as maintaining monthly unclaimed properties file.
    • Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining systems, procedures and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of High School degree; Bachelor's degree preferred
    • Three or more years of full cycle Accounts Payable experience
    • Must have Experience with Excel, Word, MRI, Yardi, or other large ERP AP system, as well as 1099 and unclaimed property tax filing experience
    • Property Management/Real Estate background preferred
    • Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting accountants, clients, and upper management
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Be able to work well in team environment
    • Strong customer services skills
    • Must be able to multi-task with limited supervision
    • Good planning and organizational skills
    • Proactive and be able to learn quickly in fast paced environment
