  • Overview

    The Project/Development Accountant, will be responsible for day-today and month-end accounting functions, as well as preparing quarterly reports, bank reconciliations, journal entries, payables, construction draws, budget maintenance and other accounting functions for the Development Accounting Department. 


    • Assist Project Executives in monitoring performance of budgets with a focus on profitability 
    • Daily entry into accounts payable system for assigned construction projects 
    • Preparation of monthly draw requests from lending institutions 
    • Monthly bank statement reconciliation 
    • Maintain contracts with GCs and subcontractors 
    • Month-end accounting functions 
    • Creation of GL journal entries


    • 3-5 years of experience in a development accounting 
    • Construction & Real Estate background preferred 
    • BA and BS in Accounting or Finance (CPA a plus) 
    • Previous experience with compiling financial statements 
    • Knowledge of job cost accounting 
    • Superior skills in Microsoft Excel and Word 
    • Proficient knowledge of database mining techniques 
    • Experience with Timberline or other accounting software a plus
