Overview

KETTLER is seeking an organized, detailed and multi-tasked focused individual who can bring their legal support experience to support our Office of General Counsel. The ideal candidate will be able to manage a high volume of soft and hard-copy files, with a focus on supporting communication with clients, lenders, partners and coworkers to ensure a pleasant and polite interaction. The successful Legal Coordinator will be a highly resourceful team player with the ability to work and perform effectively independently. The Legal Coordinator is required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supports GC and Director, Legal Services on all Legal Department matters, including specifically real estate transactions.
  • Drafting and editing legal documents
  • Act as Legal Department liaison within the organization and with third parties, including independently responding to inquiries from clients and internal staff.
  • Maintaining schedules of important dates for contracts, loan documents, etc.
  • Performing complex support work tasks with a focus on time management and confidentiality with judgement and discretion
  • Receiving and directing visitors, making copies, faxing, ordering department supplies, composing correspondence or memos and file organization
  • Ensuring internal databases, shared folders and related electronic storage are accurately maintained
  • Preparing correspondence, legal documents and presentations using advanced knowledge with word processing related programs; efficiently proofreading and editing text
  • Performing research for a variety of reports utilizing internal and external resources
  • Assembling documents and information relating to litigation proceedings relating to the company.
  • Routing requests from members of the organization to the appropriate parties within the Legal Team or outside counsel.
  • Review bills from outside legal vendor; compare against budget; revise as necessary; submit  for and track payment.
  • Maintaining database of approved contract forms and participate in the regular update of those forms.
  • Anticipating the business needs of the leaders dependent on this role and independently undertaking necessary actions to produce effective results on time                            
  • The incumbent is required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws

Qualifications

 

  • A minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience performing legal support tasks is required
  • Experience working in a real estate practice is preferred
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related business discipline is required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • Ability to draft, prepare and edit legal correspondence is required
