Overview

The Senior Investment Associate will serve as a key member of the Investments leadership team, with the goal of providing analytical expertise to the Investments, Asset Management and Development teams by primarily producing financial pro forma models, conducting property due diligence and financial reporting for multifamily and mixed-use investments. This role requires on-site attendance at our Tampa, FL Corporate Office, Monday - Thursday, with Friday being a remote work day. 

Responsibilities

  • Independently underwrite multifamily and mixed-use acquisition opportunities, including building, auditing, and stress testing detailed financial models.
  • Develop investment recommendations supported by market analysis, rent comps, detailed operating projections, and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Lead due diligence efforts, including financial analysis, capital expenditure budgeting, and coordination with third parties.
  • Contribute to capital strategy and execution, including sourcing and structuring acquisition financing.
  • Prepare institutional-quality investment memoranda and materials for KETTLER and third-party principles and capital partners.
  • Assist in negotiating purchase agreements and managing transaction timelines through closing.
  • Develop and maintain broker relationships to drive on and off-market deal flow.
  • Assist with asset management and investor relations initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, economics or related field
  • A masters degree in real estate, finance, economics or a related field is preferred
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in an Investments related role in the real estate industry, with a preference for multifamily and mixed-use
  • Requires financial modeling expertise and understanding of real estate investment principles
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage a diverse number of tasks simultaneously
  • Highly developed analytical, quantitative and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point), experience with Costar, Real Page, Yardi Matrix
  • Acquisition, Capital Markets, Asset Management and Development experience helpful
  • Yardi (or similar property management software) experience preferred
